Project Description

Project Overview

In 2022, the Shingle Springs Native American Community, through their Acorn Development Agency, sought to create a new golf amenity for its community, visitors and regional residents.

The firm was selected in early 2022 as the planners and golf course architects to envision and design this exciting new facility.

The design direction landed upon was a 12-hole, all par-3 golf course, entertainment-oriented golf range and themed miniature golf course. Anchoring these golf-centric offerings will be an 8,000 s.f. clubhouse providing a casual “pub” experience. All designs, budgets and schedules are pending final approval of the Shingle Springs Tribal Council, expected in early 2023.

The conceptual plans include branding the completed facility as “50 Oaks” with the tagline: Golf, Grill & Chill. The firm developed the branding as part of their creative process to develop programming and render designs for the 34-acre site. Acclaimed architects Swaback+Partners joined the team to create the architectural themes for the clubhouse/restaurant, maintenance facility and cart building.
